Western Railway Station – Budapest – (Nyugati pályaudvar)

The Western Railway Station in Budapest is one of the city’s oldest railway stations, located in the VI district, on the Grand Boulevard. In 1846, Hungary’s first railway line between Pest and Vác departed from here. The design of the current building is attributed to the company of Gustave Eiffel, and it was completed in October 1877. Due to its iron structure, the Western Railway Station was considered a technical marvel.
